Norwegian Cruise Line will market the 100-square-foot studio accommodations on its upcoming newbuild, the 4,200 passenger Norwegian Epic, to solo travelers.
The Epic’s 128 studio cabins will be designated and priced for single travelers, eliminating the so called “single supplement” common for cruisers traveling alone, a rate that is typically equal to the price of the second berth in the cabin. Literally paying twice the cost for one person in the cabin.
Prices for the studios start at $799.
Solo travelers have typically been ignored by the cruise industry, and NCL is taking the opportunity to eradicate this situation on the new EPIC ship. The studios, slightly smaller than standard inside cabins, have windows looking onto corridors. All passengers in the studios share exclusive use of the Living Room, a common space with a lounge, private bar and two large screen TV’s.
The single supplement rate has always been a ‘key barrier’ to getting solo cruisers. NCL’s goal is to break down that barrier and make it more comfortable for single travelers. Solo travel is well suited to a cruise. Cruising is perfect for people who want to travel alone but who do no want to be alone.

PASSPORT FEES SET FOR INCREASE

Charges for U.S. passports will increase on July 13 2010.
The fee for a new passport jumps from $100 to $135
for adults, and from $85 to $105 for those under age 16.
The fee for renewals goes from $75 to $110.
These rates include a $25 execution fee.

In late 2012, your Clients visiting the Walt Disney World® Resort will have a new resort option, offering rooms and suites that house up to six Guests each.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will feature quality family suites designed around four unique themes: The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Little Mermaid. Located adjacent to Disney’s Pop Century Resort, the new resort will include 1,120 family suites and 864 themed rooms – for a total of nearly 2,000 new units. Suites will feature both a living room and a bedroom, offering added space for families.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will be the 26th hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort, and will offer themed building exteriors and room interiors, and larger-than-life icons from the animated films in the courtyard areas.

All of the themed suites and rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are expected to open by the end of 2012.
